Photography, Pie, and Comedy 3/14

9:00 AM / Comments (0) / by BayScope

It's been a crazy weekend with numerous event and uncooperative weather. Now to return to the workweek. Here are my Monday highlights. Today is National Pi day which is the celebration of the never-ending number starting with 3.14. I notice that people who are particularly fond of numbers and math seem to enjoy it more. Aside from that, check out the following:

Jazz Photography Exhibit
Berkeley Public Library
2090 Kittredge St., Berkeley

Bay Area photographer James Knox is putting some of his best work on display at the Berkeley Public Library. All pieces will be from his series entitled "Jazz Moments." Go see photos featuring many talented jazz artists and you'll maybe even get inspired to dive into photography yourself. Showing starts and lasts from noon until 8pm.

National Pi Day
Morton's The Steakhouse
400 Post St., San Francisco

What better way to celebrate the number 3.14 than on the day of 3/14. It's National Pi Day, and at Morton's The Steakhouse, they're helping you to celebrate the right way. Today they will be serving their infamous Key Lime Pie for a fraction of it's regular $10.50 cost. Bring $3.14 after 5pm and receive a slice in celebration of Pi day.

Monday Happy Hour Comedy
Cafe Royale
800 Post St., San Francisco

It's Happy Comedy Hour again! At 7pm at the Cafe Royale go down and relieve the stress of the workday. There's no cover, but don't be mean to the tip jar. Tonight's lineup will include Sammy Obeid, Natasha Muse and Chris Thayer just to name a few. Be early for a great seat and prepare to enjoy yourself.
