Mardi Gras is upon us! For the next few days prepare to dive into many events themed with the infamous New Orleans holiday. With the random weather we've been having lately, there's a chance some events will be canceled so in that case I've made sure to include lots of options.


FRIDAY


Carnaval Night at the de Young Museum
50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive., San Francisco

Mardi Gras is in the air, and especially at the De Young Museum. Tonight starting at 6pm come watch some great dancers, make some traditional art pieces, and see some authentic exhibits. It's the perfect time to immerse yourself into the Carnaval culture. Admission is free for all so bring the family or just one of your favorite people.


Oakland HeART BEAT
2781 Telegraph Ave., Oakland

Tonight at 6pm enjoy some live art, dance performances, great music, graphic design exhibits and more! United Roots youth are showcasing the great talent in Oakland. Come out to this free event and show your support for the youth and the arts.


12th Annual Bay Area Seed Swap
Ecology Center
2530 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley

The Ecology center is holding the 12th annual Seed Swap today! This event is complete with a potluck dinner, hoe down music, and home-grown garden seeds! Come out, bring your partner and prepare for a lesson on how to two-step. You'll also lean about seeds and gardening. Event starts at 7pm.
