So with Monday now out of the way, we can focus on working through the week towards the weekend. There are a good number of events happening tonight.

De Young Museum-Free Admission Day
50 Hagiwara Tea Garden Drive, San Francisco

It's another Free day at the museum! There's always something interesting at a museum, especially at one featuring art from the 17th century. The museum opens at 9:30am and closes at 5:15pm. If you can't make it today, don't worry. De Young offers free admission on the first Tuesday's of every month.

New Years Resolutions Singles Mixer
Petar's Restaurant & Lounge

Tonight is a great night to be single and ready to mingle. The Society of Single Professionals is hosting this get together. For $10 you can get in and enjoy food, games, and prizes while meeting people. The age range is "Adult" and attire is "Dress to Impress." There really is nothing to lose by going out and just having fun. This mixer starts at 7pm and lasts till 9pm.

Stand Up Comedy
High Street Station Cafe
1303 High St. Alameda

This is a fairly new event that will be ongoing every Tuesday night in Alameda. After a rough day, a good laugh may be the perfect medicine. Doors open at 7 so show up early for a seat and a low price of $5. The later you are, the closer it slides to $15. Tonight's show will feature Ken Townsend, Nina G, Jason Rogers, Natasha Muse and Tom Anderson.

Open Mic
The Starry Plough
3101 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley

If you're looking for an outlet to express yourself, the Starry Plough's open mic night may be just what you need. It's free, sign-ups start at 7:30 and the show starts at 8. It's a great atmosphere with a full bar so feel free to enjoy and express your innermost thoughts on stage.

Happy Tuesday.
