Free Sunday at the Oakland Museum of California

Being Bay Area natives, chances are we haven't been to any of the local museums. Well, this Sunday the Oakland museum is free, courtesy of Wells Fargo so feel free to check it out. Also at the Oakland museum is the Pixar: 25 Years of Animation exhibit which is a behind the scenes look at some of our favorite movies like Wall•E an Toy Story 3. The Pixar tickets are only available thru January 9th so be there early to get a free ticket. The museum opens at 11am and closes at 5pm.

The Oakland Zoo definitely got into the holiday spirit this year, decorating everything in lights and music, and even bringing in Santa himself to meet the kids. With the holiday season coming to an end, today is the last day to enjoy the light show, so if you haven't seen them already you may want to stop by or wait until next year. Also, don't expect to see many animals, as they will all be in their "night houses." The light show opens at 5:30pm and lasts till 9:30pm. Prices range from $5.50 for kids to $7.50 for adults.
