Today is a day for the arts. Take the time to experience a great film, some nice artwork, and some awesome poetry.

Movie at Noon - Julie & Julia
SF Public Library, Koret Auditorium
100 Larkin St., San Francisco

I love this movie! It's a great inspiration for great cooks and aspiring chefs. It's about woman who wants to be a writer and challenges herself to blog about her experiences of cooking through a French cook book for an entire year. Come out and have a few laughs courtesy of the SF Library. Show starts at noon.

Good Vibrations Group Art Show - Final Night!
1620 Polk St., San Francisco

This is the final night of the Good Vibrations art exhibit featuring some very talented bay area artists. If you're a photography buff, you're bound to gain some different perspectives. If you're more into paintings you're bound to grab a bit of inspiration. The showing lasts from 6pm to 8 and includes free wine and appetizers. Enjoy.

Oakland Poetry Slam & Open-mic
The Oasis
135 12th St., Oakland

It's another night of open-mic at The Oasis! Come on downtown and gain some insight on life through someone else's eyes. Show is $7 and starts at 8pm. Also, tonight the open-mic is for everyone, but the slam is specifically for the women. For the ladies, this makes tonight perfect for a girls night out. For the men, it's a great way to score some extra points with the ladies in your life.
