Tonight at 8

One day closer to the weekend. Tonight's filled with some great Comedy line-ups, Improv shows, and an awesome Holiday Party. The only negative thing is that everything starts at 8pm, so unfortunately you'll have to choose between them. Good thing is whatever you choose, you're bound to have a good time.

Miss Pearl's Jam House - Waterfront Plaza Hotel

This is a weekly event on the waterfront hosted by local comedians Joe Gleckler and Samson Koletkar. Come out to support the old favorite and break in the newbies. Show starts at 8 and lasts an hour and a half. The show is $10 but a student of military ID will get you a $2 discount.


The Oakland Comedy Slam & Open Mic
The Oasis
135 12 St., Oakland

If you don't like water go further inland to the Oasis. Tonight they are having their 2nd annual Comedy Slam with Open-Mic, and the defending champion is returning to protect his crown. The best thing about this show is that the audience decides who goes home with the prize money. Show lasts from 8pm to 10:30 and there's a sliding scale. $5 if you sign up, $7 before 8:30, and $10 after.

Tonight is the kickoff of the San Francisco Comedy Festival, now celebrating their 10th anniversary! From now through the end of the month they will be putting on events that I will be featuring. Visit the Marines' Memorial Theater at 8 and you can expect to see a great improv comedy show. Check it out.


Yelp's Holiday Hangover - Like a Blizzard

Tonight is the final night of Yelp's Holiday Parties! If you missed the any then you have no choice but to wait until next year. Sorry. For those of you who've RSVP'd for tonight's festivities, you can look forward to an intense freestyle session, a great dance competition, and some free massage sessions.
