Learn to Make Beer & Other Skills
Albany Recreation Department
1249 Marin Ave., Albany

For the Do-It-Yourself advocates, this is something that you'll want to take full advantage of. The Albany Recreation Department is holding classes today on how to make beer, rain barrels, terrariums, and hand embroidery. Later on they'll cover identifying backyard birds, knitting & plumbing. These are some interesting skills to learn that may definitely come in handy so be sure to attend a class or two. The event itself lasts from 2pm until 5pm, but class start times vary so be sure to check the website.

Mexican Music Jam
La Pena Cultural Center
Shattuck Ave., Berkeley

Now is the perfect time to be proud of that Mexican heritage. Each month the La Pena Cultural Center puts on an afternoon of great music with an awesome jam session in the cafe lobby. Feel free to bring the whole family to enjoy great Mexican music and fun. Today's jam session will begin at 3pm and last until 6pm so enjoy.
