It's midweek already! Today there's a variety of events. First there's a fun event for the adventurous drinker. For the travel addicts there's a party all about El Salvador, so if you haven't made your travel plans yet, check it out. Also there's a great movie for the more laid back evening, so if you'd rather relax this is the perfect choice. Enjoy.

Winter Farmers Market Cocktail Night
CUESA Kitchen
Ferry Building, San Francisco

Today is the kickoff of the 2011 Farmers Market Happy Hour! Come see how creative your Bay Area bartenders can be with their original cocktails. The theme this time is all about winter citrus fruits: kumquats, pomelos, mandarins, etc. There will be a lot to sample, but if you don't have your ticket already, you may be too late. Event starts at 5:30, but be sure to check the site for more info.

El Salvador Celebration
SOM Bar
2925 16th St., San Francisco

Everyone loves to get away, and El Salvador is a great place to go. 7x7 is hosting tonight's El Salvador celebration and bringing you the best the country has to offer. Enjoy some authentic pupusas, rum cocktails and El Salvadoran beer to help you get a taste of what El Salvador has to offer. Party lasts from 7 till 8:30pm and is for the 21+ crowd. Bring you ID and prepare to buy your plane tickets. There's also a private VIP reception at 6 so if you want to get in a bit early, email your info to events@7x7.com before 5pm today to get on the list.

Free Movie: Training Rules
Haas Pavilion
5000 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland

Take advantage of a free movie night at the Haas Pavilion.
"Training Rules, examines how a wealthy athletic department, enabled by the silence of a complacent university, allowed talented athletes, thought to be gay, to be dismissed from their college team.  The film shows the lawsuit filed in 2006 against Portland and Penn State by student-athlete Jennifer Harris. This high profile case ignited the world of women's collegiate sports. It inspired the discussions so sorely needed to end discrimination based on sexual orientation that pervades all organized sport. "
