We're edging closer and closer to the weekend. For some of us we can expect the typical break from work, but for those of us with observing Monday as a holiday, our weekend has just been extended by 24 hours which is more than enough time to enjoy an event or two.

This is definitely not your typically Spelling Bee! Come on down to hear contestants attempt to and fail at spelling miserably. Come to play, enter to Win some themed prizes and the ultimate winners trophy. Tickets are available online so get them in advance or chances are you'll find yourself outside n the cold. The spelling starts at 7pm.

The Oasis is hosting a great variety show for the evening. Originating in Chicago, the Encyclopedia Show has crossed the country and made it's way to the Bay. Local and touring artists will be featured showcasing talents in music, art, comedy & spoken word. Show starts at 8pm but expect space to fill up quickly so be early.
SF Beerweek 2011 - "Beer, Bowling and Brewers"

SF Beerweek has been going strong with events happening daily all throughout the Bay. This evenings highlight is a Wii bowling tournament at the Dirty Trix Saloon. Come ready to play and don't let the drinks affect your senses! There will be specials on Beer as well as prizes and bragging rights for the Wii winners. Bowling starts at 8pm and will last until sunrise.Show starts at 7:30.
