TGIF! It has been a particularly long and stressful week for me, and I am greatly looking forward to this weekend's festivities. Starting with today and ending with a Sunday full of a great game and even better BBQ. If you don't have plans yet, have no fear. There's good-and-plenty to do over the next few days of our mini vacation.

A Sensory Feast

We were all taught at an early age that the human body has 5 main sense. (No, there is no 6th sense. That was just a movie) Well the SOMArts Cultural Center and the Kearny Street Workshop are working together to enable you to use all of those senses while enjoying some great food! This opening reception lasts from 6pm till 9pm, but don't worry if you miss it. The next chance you'll have to enjoy some of this great food will be on February 16th.

Oakland Standard Launch Party
Oakland Museum of California
1000 Oak St., Oakland

It just wouldn't be a Friday without a party! What makes it even more interesting is that it will be held at the Oakland Museum. Come out to enjoy some great exhibits of talent with Party starts at 8pm and lasts well into the morning.
