9:00 AM / Comments (0) / by BayScope

It seems like all the big things are happening in the city this weekend. Whether you're in Chinatown or Japantown you'll find a festival going on with food and entertainment. If you're looking to get rid of some old stuff or search for some new treasures then definitely stop by Airbnb's first annual swap meet. And if all else fails, grab some chocolate and call it a day.

SATURDAY

Autumn Moon Festival
Chinatown
Grant Ave and California St., San Francisco
11am - 6pm  thru Sunday

The festival will include a street bazaar, live entertainment, martial arts demonstrations and multiple parades to be held along historic Grant Avenue between California Street and Columbus Avenue until 6pm daily. Over 100,000 people are expected to attend the Moon Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday celebration. Free to the public.

Airbnb 1st Annual Swap Meet Party
99 Rhode Island St., San Francisco
11am - 5pm

Spend your Saturday afternoon enjoying breakfast, local bands and exciting DIY workshops with the Airbnb community. We even have a special recycled art fashion show by local artist, Tuan Tran. Get in by 11am to drop off your donation items and partake in the festivities. The swapping will begin at 3pm.

Japantown Jazz Festival
Post St. at Buchanan, San Francisco
2pm - 8pm

Join us for a celebration of jazz in San Francisco's Japantown. Japantown's location next to the "Harlem of the West", the Fillmore has led to it becoming a hotbed for cutting edge jazz throughout the years. There are many vibrant musicians and groups that have grownup on the music and now push it forward by incorporating Japanese instruments into their sound. To celebrate this community and sounds we've recruited three leading groups of musicians from Japantown to celebrate. We'll also launch the celebration with an opening by Taiko performance by Genryu Arts Gen Ensemble.

Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival
Ghirardelli Square, San Francisco
12p - 3pm

16th Annual Chocolate Festival this Saturday and Sunday. Indulge in chocolate delicacies, sip wine and enjoy chocolate inspired family activities. Proceeds benefit Project Open Hand. Tickets must be purchased to taste chocolate; $20 gets you 15 samples.
