Books, Blues & Harvest 9/24

9:00 AM / Comments (0) / by BayScope

There are a TON of things going on this weekend, and these are just a tip of the iceberg. If you haven't hit up the Annual Big Book Sale of $4 books, or stopped for a bite at the Oakland Eat Real Festival, don't worry. Those are still going on through the weekend.  Keep an eye on @BayScope for even more happenings!

SATURDAY

Polk Street Blues Festival
Jackson St & Polk St., San Francisco
10am - 6pm

For many years, San Francisco has been known for its love of the blues. Since our company already produces one of the nation's largest free Jazz Festivals on Fillmore Street, it made complete sense to us and our client, the Polk District Merchants Association, to create a free Blues Festival on upper Polk Street.

Free National Park Day
Everywhere
11am - 10pm

America's Best Idea - the national parks - gets even better with several fee-free days at more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees.

Crushpad Harvest Festival
Crushpad
389 Fourth St., East Sonoma
1pm - 4pm

Celebrate the start of harvest 2011 with Crushpad on Saturday Sept 24th, 2011.  Spend the afternoon exploring the grounds of our new home in Sonoma at the historic Sebastiani Winery, tasting wines at our newly opened tasting room and see the cellar in preparation for harvest. We will be showcasing wines from several past vintages as well as giving you a sneak peek of wines still aging in barrel.  There will be a fermentation station where you will be able to get a taste of the harvest excitement by dunking your hands in a fermenting bin of grapes and sampling grape juice as it converts to wine.
