The West Coast's Largest Book Sale!
Held at Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion, the sale features over 500,000 books, DVDs, CDs, books on tape, vinyl and other forms of media, 10,000 boxes of materials, 50+ categories and over 400 volunteers. Everything is $4 or less and items on Sunday are $1!
All proceeds from the Big Book Sale benefit the San Francisco Public Library’s literacy programs for children, teens and adults. Free to the public.

Santa Cruz-born pianist and composer Richard Sears is at the forefront of the burgeoning young L.A. jazz scene, having recorded and performed with artists including Joshua Redman, Dave Binney, Robben Ford and Ambrose Akinmusire. His new CD, RICK, features original compositions that combine influences from rock and free jazz.

Every Wednesday night the Shattuck Down Low hosts Salsa Night. Doors open at 8pm and the cover is $10, $5 in advance.
