We're inching closer to the weekend! I'll be working on posting major events on the calendar this weekend so keep an eye open.


1st Annual BART Blue Sky Festival
Justin Herman Plaza, San Francisco
11am - 2pm


"Get great environmental info and giveaways from dozens of eco-exhibitors, healthy and organic food samples, live music by the Venusians and more! Get a BART Blue Sky Passport at the festival, fill it with stamps from six festival exhibitors and redeem it for a free $6 BART ticket. The first 5,000 people who turn in a completed passport will get a free $6 BART ticket right at the festival!"


Singles Night
Rosenblum Cellars Winery

"Singles Night every third Thursday at Rosenblum Cellars, the fun urban winery with a newly remodeled and expanded tasting room in Alameda.  Mingle while you listen to live music, play a round of pool or foosball and learn about one of California's most innovative wineries.

Admission is $10 at the door; select wines available by the glass."



54th SF International Film Festival
Castro Theatre
429 Castro St., San Francisco

"The 54th San Francisco International Film Festival (April 21-May 5) will open with Beginners (USA 2010), writer/director Mike Mills' deeply personal and universal contemplation of chances and choices in life and love, which spotlights beautiful portrayals by Ewan McGregor, Christopher Plummer, and Mélanie Laurent. Beginners will screen 7:00 pm."


"The Opening Night celebration continues at Terra Gallery (511 Harrison Street) at 9:30 pm with a party featuring live music, cool cocktails and international culinary delights. Admission for the Opening Night film and party is $75 for San Francisco Film Society members and $90 for the general public; VIP tickets are $125 for members and $150 general.
