Ice Cream, Art & Games 4/27

9:00 AM / Comments (0) / by BayScope

It's times like these I'm happy to live in the Bay Area. While our weather is getting warmer, the east coast is dealing with a series of tornado warnings. I prefer to keep both feet on the ground, so I won't be leaving anytime soon. A reminder that it's still Bay Area National Dance Week. Though I haven't featured any of their events today, don't count them out just yet. Check their site to find you free local dance events.

Baskin Robbins 31cent Night
Nationwide
5pm - 10pm

I don't know how many people took advantage of free scoop day at Ben & Jerry's a while back, but if you missed it here's a chance to redeem yourselves. Our favorite 31 flavors shop is selling scoops today for only 31cents, and it's going to support our local fire stations & rescue teams as well as the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Architectural Photography and Art Exhibit
Don Soker Gallery
80 Sutter St., San Francisco
5:30pm - 11pm

"Stunning photographic images will be hung from the walls for guests to behold. Sculptural pieces created by conceptual artist Topher Delaney add an element of whimsy to the space. Delicious Pisco drinks will be served throughout the night (compliments of ORO Pisco), and free design magazines will be given out (thanks, Dwell and California Home & Design).

The photography exhibit will coincide with the monthly Drinks by Design networking event, a gathering of the Bay Area design community"

Game Night
The Republic
3213 Scott St., San Francisco
7pm - 11pm

It's Homefrys weekly game night! Brush off those old Jenga, Pictionary & Nintendo games. Tonight is all about the competition. It's also happy hour with specials going on until 8pm so you won't go hungry. Cover for this event is $10, but if you're a first timer you can get in for $5 with the coupon posted on their website.

Bachata Dance Night
Cafe Cocomo
650 Indiana St., San Francisco
7pm - 11pm

Cafe Cocomo is all about the Bachata tonight. If you're not Bachata savvy, there will be lessons for beginner starting at 7pm, and intermediates at 8pm. By 9 the live DJ will be putting everyone in party mode. Doors are open at 7 and this definitely looks to be a 21 and up event. Cover is $10 and ladies are free before 8pm. Anyone skipping the lesson and coming for the party at 9 gets in for only $5. Also, free pizza and drink specials tonight, so come hungry, leave happy.
